Twitter and Facebook were running rampant yesterday about Lennox, the pit mix in Belfast who was ripped from his family 2 years ago and was officially sentenced to death yesterday after 2 years of legal battles. Why? Because he LOOKED like a pit bull. Then after time served in a sub standard facility, they claim he MAY be a danger to people. In the world I come from if you locked me up and kept me from human contact I too MAY be a danger to people. Also, doesn’t ANY dog run a risk of being a danger to people – not just pits?

I had started a website at http://boycottbelfast.com (site has been removed effective 11.2012) to procure names worldwide showing Belfast that we are ANGRY and will vow to never visit or support their city. Although I do not want to hurt the citizens, I feel this is the only option to get Belfast to understand that breed discrimination is wrong and will not be tolerated. Can we save Lennox with this petition? I do not know – but we are going to keep trying until we know the end has come for that sweet boy. But the website will STAY – even after Lennox is gone. This will serve as a reminder that stealing dogs based on a look is WRONG – and that society is not accepting of it.

If you are still following the case you will bew aware court cases have taken place in the United Kingdom in connection with abuse and threats and incorrect information posted on social media and websites. While I appreciate your comment – there is no abuse or threats being made in this post and it will not be removed. In the US we have something called freedom of speech. I have noted the stance that Belfast made in destroying a dog based on breed and offered the option to other bully lovers to entertain the idea of never showing support to your city through travel. There was not threat made to anyone in Belfast and no abuse has been made. Also you can see the Boycott Belfast page is already down as I removed that months ago.
I believe there is nothing incorrect or racist in this post and I have only relayed information that was posted on other news sources.

Oh Sam. I read each and every word of this post today. There is not a single reference to anything that constitutes “race” and it is not factually incorrect. Lennox died for nothing. Ireland allowed that to happen. All true statements. MANY people have vowed to never visit or support Belfast in any way, myself being one of them. Another FACTUALLY CORRECT STATEMENT.
Welcome to the USA. We have some problems here too, but one thing we haven’t lost is our right to speak our minds and opinions.
The fun part is that since you chose to come and hassle the site owner HERE, months after the fact, when the post specifically states:

you’ve given us the opportunity to pass to the world…this post..and your comment..showing that Belfast obviously learned nothing since Lennox’s death.
